Internet Information Service (IIS) is not installed by default when Windows is loaded.
To install IIS:
1. | Open Server Manager. |
2. | The Server Manager dashboard is displayed.![]() |
1. | Select Add roles and features. |
3. | The Add Roles & Features Wizard starts.![]() |
1. | Select Installation Type. |
2. | Select Role based or feature based installation. |
3. | Click Next. |
4. | The Select Destination server window opens.![]() |
1. | Check that the correct server is selected. |
2. | Click Next to continue. |
5. | The server Roles are listed.![]() |
1. | Select Web Server (IIS). |
6. | The features that are required for Web Server (IIS) window opens.![]() |
1. | Click Add Features. |
7. | You return to the Select server roles window. Click Next to continue. |
8. | The Features are listed.![]() |
1. | Expand the feature .NET Framework 4.5 Features and select ASP.NET 4.5. |
2. | Click Next to continue. |
9. | The Web Server Role (IIS) window opens. Click Next to continue. |
10. | The Role Services window opens. Check that the following Common HTTP Features are set as shown.![]() |
11. | Check that the following Health and Diagnostics services and Performance services are set as shown.![]() |
12. | Check that the following Security settings are set as shown.![]() |
13. | View the Application Development roles. ![]() |
1. | Select ASP.NET 4.5. |
2. | The Add features that are required for ASP.NET 4.5 opens. Click Add Features.![]() |
3. | You are returned to the Role service list. Check that the following Application Development options are set as shown![]() |
14. | Check that the following FTP Server options and Management Tools options are set as shown.![]() |
15. | Click Next to continue. |
16. | The Confirmation Installation Selection window opens. Click Install to continue. |
17. | IIS will be installed. The installation progress is displayed on the screen. When installation has been completed click Close. |
