Populate the Databases

Three new databases have been created and are now listed when you expand Databases. The databases are currently blank and need to be populated with the table fields. These details need to be  restored for each of the three databases.

NewDatabases

To restore the SkylineMembership database:

1.Right mouse click the SkylineMembership database and then select Tasks > Restore > Database.

2.The 'Restore Database - SkylineMembership' window opens.

1.Select the source Device.
2.Click on the ellipsis button at the end of the field. The 'Select backup devices' window opens.
3.Select the backup media type File.
4.Click Add to select the database SkylineMembership that you downloaded.
5.Click OK
3.Select the page Files. You need to specify the restore file name.

1.For the file name SkylineMembership click the ellipsis button to open the Locate Database Files window.
2.Select SkylineMembership.mdf and click OK.
4.For the  SkylineMembership_log click the ellipsis button to open the Locate Database Files window. Select SkylineMembership_log.ldf and click OK.
5.Select the page Options.

1.Select the restore option Overwrite the existing database (WITH REPLACE).
6.Click OK. The database will be restored. When the "Database 'SkylineMembership' restored successfully." appears, click OK.

 

You now need to restore the other databases that were downloaded.

To restore the SkylineConverter database:

1.Right mouse click the SkylineConverter database and then select Tasks > Restore > Database. The Restore Database - Skyline window opens.
2.Select the source Device the click on the ellipsis button at the end of the field. The 'Select backup devices' window opens.
3.Select the backup media type File and click Add to select the database SkylineConverter that you downloaded. To finish click OK
4.Select the page Files. You need to specify the restore file name.
5.For the file name SkylineConverter select SkylineConverter.mdf and click OK.
6.For the file name SkylineConverter_log select SkylineConverter_log.ldf and click OK.
7.Select the page Options and select the restore option Overwrite the existing database (WITH REPLACE).
8.Click OK. The database will be restored. When the "Database 'SkylineConverter' restored successfully." appears, click OK.

 

To restore the Skyline database:

1.Right mouse click the Skyline database and then select Tasks > Restore > Database. The Restore Database - Skyline window opens.
2.Select the source Device the click on the ellipsis button at the end of the field. The 'Select backup devices' window opens.
3.Select the backup media type File and click Add to select the database Skyline that you downloaded. To finish click OK
4.Select the page Files. You need to specify the restore file name.
5.For the file name Skyline select Skyline.mdf and click OK.
6.For the file name Skyline_log select Skyline_log.ldf and click OK.
7.Select the page Options and select the restore option Overwrite the existing database (WITH REPLACE).
8.Click OK. The database will be restored. When the "Database 'Skyline' restored successfully." appears, click OK.
