Skyline requires that JavaScript is enabled. JavaScript is a client-side scripting language used to create dynamic web pages. JavaScript should not be confused with Java, the full featured programming language. Skyline does not need Java to be installed on user’s PC or Mac. JavaScript is built in to most web browsers.

JavaScript is used by the upload button on Skyline. If JavaScript is disabled, users will not be able to send any documents via Skyline. A test for JavaScript is run on the log in page and if JavaScript is disabled users will not be able to log in. They will be shown the message “JavaScript is disabled in your web browser".
