The user account that runs the website needs to have full read / write access to the directories where documents are stored. An easy check for this is to log in to your Skyline portal with an account that has host admin rights then open the Admin page. If there are any problems with the access rights to these folders then you will see a red warning message at the top to the Admin page.

AccessRights

To check the access rights:

1.Locate the root directory of the Skyline website.
Log into the Skyline server with a local admin account and open IIS. Check the properties of the Skyline website to find the root directory. The root directory of the Skyline website is C:\Skyline\wwwroot\ by default.
2.Find the account that the Skyline website is running under.
1.Browse to the website directory and open the file web.config with Notepad.
2.In the web.config file locate the line that start with <identity impersonate=…
3.If the website is configured to run as another user then the line will look like:
<identity impersonate="true" userName="username" password="password" />
4.If there is a username and password specified then you will need to check that account is enabled and able to log in to the Skyline server.
3. Log out of the Skyline server and try to log in with the username and password that the website is using.
If you are not able to log in to the Skyline server with the website’s username and password then this user account needs to be set up with local admin rights on the Skyline server. You should also check that the password for that account is set to never expire.
4.Check that the website user account has full read / write access to the Documents, Errors, UploadedDriverFiles and Upload directories specified in the Default Configuration page.
5.When the user account permissions are correct, stop the Services listed below in the order that they are shown.
Skyline PDF Scheduler.
Skyline PDF Converter.
DCStart.
6.Start the Services listed below in the order that they are shown.

7.Upload a document and check that the PDF Converter is now running.
